I'm trying to word this right.......Let's see, a powder coating forum I'm on has a section where users post pics of stuff they've powdercoated and what the product was called/how many layers/curing temp.....
I'm just curious if we could have a section where people can post an example of their art/panel/bike/car and tell us what the primer, base, clear coat they used without giving away any special secrets.
It would be helpful for me because i can't afford to buy every kind of candy or transparent color out there to test them over silver/black/blue base and so on....And with so many companies and different avenues, it can be a lot to take in.
I would also either categorize with sub sections that include water based paint and then the urethanes.
It would also be cool (but up to the person posting) if they could list their ambient temps, air pressure and possibly gun distance when talking about metalics, flakes, and candy but I do understand that some may not want to just give out that info.
And as an added bonus only people logged in and have so many posts can view it, so it's not used as a medium to copy people's work.
Just a late night idea.
