I just recently started stripin' and still trying to figure things out from techniques,
reducing, paletting, etc.

So anyone who is willing to throw in any random knowledge or some advice, wether its overall general stuff or very specific on how you do things. It will be greatly appreciated, every little bit helps. Even what tools and materials you prefer.

Can I palette my brush in the paint cup instead of a magazine or other surface?
Do I pallette my scroll brush the same as my mack sword?

Thank You very much,
Bobby

not done a ton of striping but as for the question about paletting the brush in the cup, i don't because by using a magazine i can personal feel when the brush is loaded well by the drag it gives. you may not be able to get that from the cup

By 'paletting' do you mean loading?? Never heard that term, also what is a 'magazine'?? Same thing as a 'clip' for my strap? Or what I read only you guys are using it for pinstriping? please let me in on the magazine thing seriously. I just dip my brush into the paint, drag off the excess and go. sounds like you have a better way using a magazine. I'm pretty green in the pinstriping game also.
Thanks,
Shane

dont load your brush holding it at a 90 degree angle the hairs will begin to rip after a while. I load my brush with pain and mineral spirits until the brush moves smoothly with out sticking to the paper.

Thanks for clearing up the magazine issue, I'm gonna try that.
