whats the best way to paint the inner fairing on a new HD street glide, no scrathes or anyting just basicly scuff and shoot. Would you sand it use adhesion promoter, (bulldog, HOK, or duponts 222s) then prime it sand it and paint. or just sand as best as possible use adhesion promoter and seal and paint? any ideals to make the paint stick as best as possible. thanks

i use ap01 for the adhesion. i also do a flat finish so there's no glare when riding.

Fantom hit it on the head. Ap -01, spray, flat clear, unless the client wants gloss. but let him know about glare.

cool thanks guys, I never took into concideration about the glare, I think he was wanting gloss but I'll definitly let him know about it, I really don't want to end up doing it twice. Thanks for the input thats why this forum really kicks a**...
when i do things like that i have been tought to use SEM'S trim paint in a rattle can. its always worked great for me. didnt really need to do to much other then a light scuff and then spray. But as always, make sure the area is clean.

scuff, adhesion promoter, filler primer, wetsand, seal and spray. The plastic is a little course, and most guys in chicago want gloss black. If there is any sun they are probably riding with sun glasses. Harley does it from the factory kick a$$. We have to keep up with them.
